Hello Staying Put members and friends,
The Board of Directors of Staying Put in New Canaan is pleased to announce the election of two new members to our Board.
LEE BARNES
Lee is co-chair of Community Partners, an affiliate of the Harvard Business School Club of Connecticut, which conducts pro bono consulting projects for non-profits in the state. A management consultant to insurance companies and banks in the US and Europe for much of his career, Lee was a partner at McKinsey and at Ernst & Young. He also served in management positions at Citicorp and The Continental Corporation. Lee and his wife Nancy moved to New Canaan two years ago from their home of 34 years in Greenwich, where they raised three daughters. Lee is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
KIT DEVEREAUX
Kit is an 18 year resident of New Canaan with lots of community volunteer experience. After earning her MBA in Finance from NYU and spending the 1980's on Wall Street, she and her husband, Robert Geitz, moved to New Canaan. Kit has served as President of the New Canaan Nature Center, as Co-President of the New Canaan League of Women Voters, Trustee of the New Canaan Library, and as a member of the Vestry at St. Mark's Church. She served on the Town of New Canaan's Board of Finance for 8 years, as an alternate and then as a full member. She currently serves on the Town Council, on the Board of the LWV, on the Advisory Board of the New Canaan Library and on the Advisory Board of Spencer's Run Dog Park. Kit and Robert have a daughter who attends St. John's College in Annapolis, Md.
